Azerbaijan reduces car import by 6-fold in 2016

Baku. 16 September. REPORT.AZ/ In January-August 2016, Azerbaijan has imported 3 454 units of cars. Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC), it is less by 17 693 units, or 83,67% (6,1 times) compared to the same period last year.

According to information, the import of motor vehicles for 10 persons or more including the driver, fell by 92,13% or 12,7 times - from 632 to 54 units.

The number of imported cars for the transport of people and other motor vehicles reduced by 15 840 or 84,16% (6,33 times) and amounted to 2 981 units.

In addition, during the reporting period, the country imported 342 units of motor vehicles for the transport of cargo, which is less by 1 095 units or 76,20% (4.2 times) than in the same period last year.

According to information, import of motor vehicles, special purpose declined by 62,07% (1,61 times) from 126 to 77 units.
